Where I've Worked

One thing for sure — Paulana is always working! As a multi-talented journalist and edu-tainer, I'm always finding new stories to tell and delivering them in an engaging way.

In doing so, I've worked for companies Al Jazeera's latest podcast venture Jetty, LearnVest, HRDCVR Magazine (created by Elliott Wilson & Danyel Smith), and have written for sites like Fast Company, Shondaland, ESPN's The Undefeated, Blavity, Her Agenda where my expertise has been writing about lifestyle, personal finance, entertainment, and much more.

I've also interview celebrities and athletes like Love and Hip Hop's K. Michelle, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Loni Love, Brooklyn Nets' Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Yvonne Orji (Insecure), Courtney Kemp (Power), Tracy Oliver (writer of Girls Trip) and more. At the moment, my goal is having live, innovative conversations with today's thought leaders, entertainers and more. Here's a live Q&A with actress Erica Ash, star of BET's new show In Contempt.

I've also been featured by Microsoft Office as people who are trying to close the digital gap with minorities in tech.  You can download my resume, here.

My Story

Hey there!

My name is Paulana Lamonier (pronunciation: Paw La Na  La Mow Near) and I love telling stories. In the 5th grade my orchestra teacher called me a gossipmonger because I loved telling my classmates the latest in music, TV and the cafeteria food. Since then, I've matured and decided to make storytelling a career as an edu-tainer.

As an edu-tainer, I love educating and entertaining my audience through digital, social media, print, and TV talent. But I'm always making sure I’m telling compelling stories.

Because NYC is so expensive, if I'm not writing, or interviewing someone, I'm probably giving someone a private swim lesson as a certified swim coach as my side hustle.

I also love Jesus, Beyoncé and R&B — in that order.
